JULY – Transportation & Delivery Roles
  • TRIPLE H RANCH & THERAPEUTIC HORSEMANSHIP
    • The Road Runners (Bulletin Board Runners)
      • The Mission: Be the driving force behind getting our name out into the community! We need a few fabulous folks to help us distribute flyers, posters, and newsletters to local coffee shops, libraries, and community bulletin boards.
      • What You’ll Do: Take a scenic drive, drop off promotional materials, and chat briefly with local business owners who support our cause.
      • The Routine: As needed
      • Perks: We supply a gas card to keep your tank full, and you can blast your favorite music or podcast while exploring the area!

  • ADRC ROCK COUNTY NUTRITION PROGRAM
    • Volunteer Meal Delivery Driver
      • Our Volunteer Meal Delivery Drivers pick up meals and deliver them to homebound residents in Rock County. The average route takes about 2 to 2.5 hours between 10 AM and 1 PM, M-F.   Volunteers are especially needed in Janesville at this time.
      • Time commitment: The average route takes about 2 to 2.5 hours between 10 AM and 1 PM M-F.  The time commitment is up to each volunteer; they can choose to drive daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed.

  • BELOIT MEALS ON WHEELS
    • Meal Delivery Driver
      • Deliver meals during the lunch hour to homebound seniors in the 53511-zip code using your own vehicle
      • Volunteers must complete an application and provide a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
      • TIME: approximately one hour per route; number of routes flexible

  • RSVP ROCK COUNTY
    • Volunteer Driver
      • Transport clients to medical or dental appointments, or to the grocery store
      • Volunteer uses their own vehicle and is able to pick which rides they wish to take

JUNE – Youth Mentorship & Education Roles
  • FAMILY SERVICES
    • Child Care Volunteer
      • Assist with watching participants’ children in the same location while the parents attend a Mom’s support group
      • TIME: Wednesdays from 5-6:30 PM

    • Beloit Summer Meals Volunteer
      • Set up tables and chairs; assist with take down; help with leading simple activities such as story time, outdoor projects, coloring, or sidewalk chalk art

        • Meal times are 9-10 AM for breakfast and 11:45 AM – 1 PM for lunch

  • BELOIT PUBLIC LIBRARY
    • Summer Library Club – Kickoff Event
      • Join us for a fun Saturday filled with activities based on our Summer Library Club theme: Unearth a Story! This event involves kids of all ages, and volunteers will assist with various activities and crafts and/or answer questions about the Summer Library Club.
      • TIME: One-time event on June 6th, 2026; event runs from 1:30-3:30 PM, but volunteers should arrive 15 minutes early

    • PBS Kids Sensational Science Camp with Ruff Ruffman
      • Kids will participate in five sessions that put them in the role of scientist and engineer while they learn through fun, hands-on experiments. Learn about mixtures, materials, friction, and structures. This event is for children from 5 to 8.
      • TIME: July 6th-10th – The program runs from 9:30 AM -12 PM. We would appreciate it if volunteers could arrive at 9 AM to help set up activities and welcome children.

    • PBS Kids Sensational Science Camp with Ruff Ruffman

  • BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF JANESVILLE
    • Youth Programming Volunteer
      • We are looking for volunteers to help our youth during our summer camp program. Be an extra set of hands for art projects, STEM activities, gym, and outside play, reading and more. Hang out with elementary youth or be a mentor in our teen lounge!
      • TIME: Volunteer days and times are flexible to fit your schedule. No minimum time commitment. Summer camp hours are 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Friday

    • Front Desk Volunteer
      • We are looking for volunteers to help at our front desk between 7:15 – 10:15 a.m. during summer camp. Greet youth and families, check youth members in and out of a computer system, and answer phones.
      • TIME: 7:15-10:15 a.m. Monday-Friday (commit to at least one day per week during summer camp, June 15-August 18)

  • BLUESTEM ROBOTICS
    • Coaches, Mentors, and Speakers
      • Work with students to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders! We are a youth development program that teaches building, coding, marketing, business, and teamwork skills through educational robotics. 
      • TIME: We have multiple opportunities: one-time 20-minute speaker, one hour a week for 12 weeks with elementary students, a few hours a week for 3-5 months with middle school students, to 3-10 hours a week year-round with high school students, and options in between.

MAY – Event & Fundraising Roles
  • HEALTHNET OF ROCK COUNTY
    • Event Volunteers
      • Event Volunteers support HealthNet fundraising events, community outreach activities, and special programs. Responsibilities may include event setup and teardown, registration assistance, guest support, and helping with event activities as needed.
      • TIME: Our primary annual fundraising event takes place each April, with planning committee work beginning in December. Volunteers may assist during the planning process and on the day of the event. There may also be occasional smaller events and outreach opportunities throughout the year.

  • ROTARY BOTANICAL GARDENS
    • Community Ambassador & Fundraising Volunteer
      • Serve as a community ambassador for Rotary Botanical Gardens by helping build meaningful connections and support fundraising efforts that sustain and grow the Gardens. This role is well-suited for individuals who enjoy connecting people, sharing meaningful work, and contributing to larger initiatives including future capital and endowment efforts that will shape the Gardens’ long-term future.

  • STATELINE LITERACY COUNCIL
    • Coordinator of Community Outreach and Support

    • Fundraising Volunteer
      • On June 10, 2026, Triple H Ranch & Therapeutic Horsemanship is the nonprofit beneficiary for Girls’ Night Out Rock County. Our needs include: 1. Volunteers to secure donations from local businesses for the basket raffle. 2. We are also looking for volunteers to help on the day of the event, selling basket raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets.

    • Grant Writer
      • This non-profit therapeutic riding center is looking for a volunteer with grant writing experience to assist with researching, crafting, and submitting grants to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

APRIL – Outdoor & Nature-Based Roles
  • BELOIT HISTORICAL SOCIETY
    • Gardener/Outdoor Maintenance
      • BHS covers a full city block; light maintenance includes picking up trash and fallen trees limbs and keeping the grounds presentable. Gardening and planting flowers may be included
      • TIME: Volunteers can choose to participate in one-day clean up day or volunteer on a regular basis

  • HUMANE SOCIETY OF SOUTHERN WISCONSIN
    • Canine Companion
      • Volunteers take our dogs on walks on our 40 acres of trails as well as taking them in the play yards to run around, play fetch, etc. This volunteer role helps keep our dogs exercised and it is a form of enrichment because of all the smells and scenery outside on our trails!

      • Assist with various gardening duties & projects including weeding, planting, pruning, and watering to maintain the overall gardens throughout the year

      • Walk the Garden’s paths during open hours or other events to greet visitors, ensure guest safety, and assist with questions as an RBG representative. This is a great opportunity to work in pairs with a friend or spouse.

      • Guide bus tours and other various groups through the Gardens providing information about the Garden’s history, various garden designs, and current RBG initiatives.

    • Stocker Substitute
      • Assist with keeping the pantry shelves, coolers, and freezers stocked
      • This role is for someone who can assist when a current volunteer is unable to serve
      • Requires lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, and walking
      • Shifts available 9:30-12 or 11:45-2:15 during pantry hours/days
    • Donation Sorter
      • When Caritas receives large donations, this person will assist with checking dates and organizing food
      • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
