APRIL – Outdoor & Nature-Based Roles

- BHS covers a full city block; light maintenance includes picking up trash and fallen trees limbs and keeping the grounds presentable. Gardening and planting flowers may be included

- Volunteers take our dogs on walks on our 40 acres of trails as well as taking them in the play yards to run around, play fetch, etc. This volunteer role helps keep our dogs exercised and it is a form of enrichment because of all the smells and scenery outside on our trails!

- This role is for someone who can assist when a current volunteer is unable to serve
- Requires lifting up to 25 lbs, standing, and walking
- Shifts available 9:30-12 or 11:45-2:15 during pantry hours/days
- Donation Sorter
- When Caritas receives large donations, this person will assist with checking dates and organizing food
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
